Bridgeport Art Center, The Illinois Art Education Association & The Illinois High School Art Exhibition Present a Celebration of Art Education in Illinois with Two Simultaneous Exhibitions:

Last year, BRIDGEPORT ART CENTER worked with the ILLINOIS ART EDUCATION ASSOCIATION to inaugurate an annual Art Educators’ exhibit aimed at supporting artistic practice that celebrates the talents of city and suburban area art educators. The 2nd Annual Art Educator Show will be a juried exhibition, featuring up to 100 works of art and more than a $1000 in cash prizes and awards.

This exhibition features some of the best high school artwork created by students who seek to become professional practicing artists. It is designed as a bridge for young artists as they transition between high school and college to recognize artistic excellence in a body of work. The goal is to provide these aspiring artists options to allow them to succeed in higher education and beyond in the field of Art. This collection of artwork is selected on the basis of scholarship offers by over 60 accredited colleges and universities from across the country.
