Hundreds of enthusiastic friends and relatives celebrated on Friday evening, April 15, along with artist/educators at the opening reception and awards ceremony for the 2nd Annual Art Educators Exhibition at Bridgeport Art Center.

Eight artists selected by jurors Mary Ellen Croteau and William Lieberman received cash awards totaling $3,000 on Friday, February 28, in Bridgeport Art Center’s 4th Annual Art Competition Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony.

Jurors Mary Ellen Croteau and William Lieberman have reviewed all applications to Bridgeport Art Center’s 4th Annual Art Competition and selected 52 artists to participate in the exhibition and to compete for $3,000 in prizes.

Stories Without Words presents a review of contemporary geometric abstraction with an in-depth look at paintings and sculptures by five artists: Jens Brasch, Walter Fydryck, Michael Grucza, Steven Lockwood, and Victor Nelson.

Chicago, IL August 2015 – Opening October 16th at the Bridgeport Art Center is, The Art of Influence: Breaking Criminal Traditions. This fine art exhibition, features the work of twenty artists from around the country, calling attention to the ongoing ancient rituals that kill or maim millions each year—yet are not considered crimes.

Bridgeport Art Center’s Third Annual Art Competition award winners were announced at a lively opening reception attended by several hundred people on Saturday evening, February 28.

Six Chicago-area artists were awarded a total of $3,000 in prizes at Bridgeport Art Center’s 2nd Annual Art Competition awards ceremony on the evening of March 8.
